What's the worst that could happen?
Why do we hesitate when it comes to our good intentions? Why do we hesitate to compliment someone? Why do we judge people when we ourselves are probably victims of the same cruel act? Why would we hesistate to smile at a random person just because we left so?
Why would we hesitate at all?
It's embarrassing? Scary? Weird?
So?
What's the worst that could happen?
You'll be outed as the oddball? Is that it? You'll be alienated?
How about for just one day, we live with no restrictions. No hesitating. No thinking, 'What will they think of me?'
NO FEAR.
Walk boldly upto the old lady who boards the bus with you everyday carrying grocery, who you have always wanted to help. Smile and offer assistance to carry the bags. Go to the park and whistle or click and skip and hop to the beat. Sing on a sunny day and dance on a rainy one. Off-key? Clumsy? Sing louder. Dance more. Walk up to a total stranger and wish them a good day. Hug a friend and or a family member without saying anything. Tell your mom how much you love her or your dad about how he's always there for you. Wave to the random kid and talk to your fellow passenger. Read out a book to a blind child. Take a walk in the moonlight, climb a tree, splash the puddle, run barefoot. Text your grandparents, or better yet, write an actual letter and send it to them. Keep a journal, a wish jar, a dream pillow, qoutes and posters on the bedroom wall, paint the headboard, the windows.
Do nothing. Do everything.
Colour your life.
Smile, laugh, cry.
Dream.
Breathe. Be free.
Like I said, What's the worst that could happen?
