Pleasure over Pleasant
To all the people out there who are used to settling down for ok, or for nice or even for pleasant, Please, Don't.
Those are just mediocre and why would you, or for that matter, anyone, want that average word to describe their uniquely singular personalities?
You are you.
You are emotional, reserved, clumsy, lazy, hot tempered, confusing, wild, pessimistic, immature, impatient, naive, reckless, sloppy, weak, tired, withdrawn, vulnerable, cranky, bossy, skinny, loud, quiet, short, messy, silly, chubby, moody.
You are also soft, bubbly, composed, affectionate, cheerful, calm, frank, funny, creative, sincere, passionate, loyal, careful, fair minded, strong, tactful, jolly, obedient, polite, graceful, optimistic, bold, sensitive, mischievous, kind, plump, witty, serious, independent, humble.
I'm awed by the wonderous combinations that makes up a person. You, me, and every other person around us.
And that is why we can't settle for 'ok', 'nice' and 'pleasant'. Keep a lookout for things that make your jaw drop, the ones that force you to double take, stuff that jolts, surprises, startles, and leaves you stunned. Things that leave your core thrumming with a dizzying aching pleasure.
Anything. Everything.
Books, people, music, clothes, art, hobbies, interests, your possessions, the words you use, the way you act.
It's said that, it's in the things that deeply inspire us that we find ourselves.
